There’s a new hot spot in town and it’s 913 Whisky Bar and Southern Kitchen, which opened in the fall. The hole in the wall style bar and eatery is located on the corner of Spring Garden Street and Chapman Street in the center of Greensboro, right next to The Tasting Room.
The food menu features items such as a shrimp and grits flatbread, a smoked mac & cheese grilled cheese, and of course southern staples like pulled pork and fried okra. But that’s not even the best part!
The Whisky Bar has a creative craft cocktail selection that is definitely one for the books. Drinks such as the “Brown Derby” and “Blackberry Smash” are favorites at the joint, and of course they have a more traditional selection including the Moscow Mule and an Old Fashioned.
They are open Wednesday through Saturday, 5-11 PM Wednesday & Thursday and 5-12 Midnight Friday & Saturday. While it is almost always packed, you can call up to 20 minutes in advance to reserve a table. With at least 2 weeks notice, you can even set up a private event!
