Greensboro Rolls Out the Presidential Red Carpet

The leader of the free world will be in Greensboro, NC today!

It’s sure to be an exciting day in the Gate City with the presence of President Obama who will be speaking on two separate occasions in Greensboro today. The president’s first appearance will be at a student forum held on the campus of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Obama will host the event titled, A Conversation with The President: Sports, Race and Achievement where topics of discussion will relate to sports and race as well as the role and legacy of HBCUs in America. The student forum is invite only, however, it will be taped and will air tonight on ESPN at 10 PM EST.

President Obama’s second stop in Greensboro today will be a campaign event on behalf of Hillary Clinton held at the White Oak Amphitheater. This year’s presidential election has been classified as one of the biggest in American history with more people expected to vote than ever before. President Obama is expected to reiterate Hillary Clinton’s vision for America and emphasize the importance of making sure your voice is heard by voting. This event is open to the public, however, tickets are limited. You may still be able to claim a ticket by going to www.hillaryclinton.com/events and registering for the event. Doors will open at 3:30 PM and President Obama will begin speaking at 6 PM.

**Note: The deadline to register to vote in North Carolina is this Friday, October 14, 2016. Early voting in North Carolina will begin on Thursday, October 20, 2016 and will end on Saturday, November 5, 2016. You may still register to vote in person during early voting. Election day is Tuesday, November 8, 2016.**
